Confirmed reports of a gun attack in Marshall County High School, located in Brenton, Kentucky. At the moment, it is unclear if this shooting was aimed at students or staff members, though official updated reports indicate at least 2 are dead and 19 others were transported to nearby hospitals in the quiet Kentucky city of Brenton after a 15-year-old gunman opened fire.
The ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) confirmed they were on the scene of what appeared to be yet another mass shooting in the United States.
The apparent attack drew immense security responses, with police in the area stating that all of them left and were dispatched to the area. Brenton is the seated city of the 30,000-people populated Marshall county.
The death count and injury count, for now, is unexpected to rise to media officials and our sources. According to reports, some of the wounded were transported to nearby medical centers to seek medical help by helicopter. The extent of their injuries is unknown to us as of yet, although some are said to be severe.
Marshall County High School shooting comes only one day after another shooting at a different high school in Dallas, Texas. Reports from there indicated that a 16-year old boy reportedly shot a 15-year old girl inside of the school.
Police at the scene confirmed a suspect was arrested and is in custody. A motive for the attack remains unknown to officials at the time of this article's creation. The suspect's identity will not be shared here, though he is 15-years-old, according to police.
