BOMB CYCLONE: Hurricane Winds, Feet of Snow And a Bone-Shattering Cold

The US and Canadian east coasts were struck by a massive blizzard-like conditional winter storm 'Grayson' that has devastated numerous American and Canadian cities like Boston, Portland and numerous others in that area.
It began with a rare snowfall in Floridian cities as well as throughout Georgia and South Carolina. Winds weren't too strong; but palm trees covered in snow weren't exactly what the citizens there would perceive as a normal recurrence.
As the storm moved up, the theory of bombogenesis occurred in a rare development of a storm that increases it's severity massively within a short amount of time. It ended up developing hurricane-force winds of as high as 85 mph in the eye-wall of the 'winter hurricane' (officially noted as a major/severe winter storm or 'bomb cyclone').
According to our meteorologists, at least three cities reported hurricane-wind forces in the state of Massachusetts, the strongest hit so far. In Nova Scotia, where the storm currently situates at the time of this article (12:00 A.M. Jan. 5, 2017), their entire coastal region is being consistently slapped by winds as far high as 60-70 mph.
What really damaged the city of Boston, though you can see in the photo of this article, was the flash floods with the snow that piled on top of it. Reports confirmed that the winds of the winter hurricane-like storm were spilling in the extremely high tide. The full blue moon, which is also a rare event, wasn't helping lower the tide - at all.
Up to four feet of water, with up to 20 inches of snow on top of it, were situated across the entire Boston coastal area and suburban neighborhoods. Meanwhile the deep freeze that is about to head into the east coast may freeze that water.
It's clear infrastructure damage can be reported but what officials are really concerned about are the amount of vehicles that can be frozen in the wintry ice as the freezing weather heads in. The water of which multiple cars have gotten stuck in will almost certainly freeze in and lock the vehicles underwater until it melts.
It's terrifying how damaging the cold weather will be; knowing that the storm itself isn't the deadly part of this natural onslaught of Americans and Canadians; but the cold weather is. Recent arctic waves have resulted in the deaths of 12 Americans; but the cold weather is only going to get worse.
Now, the storm has knocked out anywhere between 80,000 and 110,000 homes from power connections. That means absolutely no heat as the bone-shattering cold begins to move in. Yup, that's far worse than the former waves.
As of now, over 3,000 flights have been cancelled with thousands of others delayed. A number of airports have temporarily shut down their activities following the blizzard conditions that can be dangerous to civilian life. The delays and cancellations will have an absolute effect on travel, not only across America, but worldwide.
