New Year's Eve is no excuse; one of America's most important intelligence agencies takes no holiday. And apparently, neither does the work of terrorism. Official reports out of the FBI offices suggested an ISIS supporter/sympathizer was arrested in Virginia after an acting co-conspirator concluded their suspect wanted to carry out a terror attack in the name of the Islamic State in the United States.

The FBI recently foiled yet a different terror attack; that time in San Francisco. The way the organization foiled the attacks are very similar; both with hidden agents pretending to act as co-conspirators as part of the terror plot.

At the moment, it remains unclear whether the terror suspect and the FBI managed to foil any specific terror plot; or when the date (if specified) would've been carried out. Due to the timing of the arrest, it's probably safe to assume the weakly-planned terror plot by the Virginia suspect would've revolved around this time.

The crackdowns this holiday season come after ISIS increased their threat levels on North America's countries like the US and Canada. Also, recent attacks in New York City left the country in major fear of potential attacks.

An attack only a while ago was claimed by the Islamic State in NYC's midtown region. The attack took place only blocks away from the World Trade Center. The attack, of which left 8 people killed and up to 12 others hospitalized, was the deadliest terror attack in the city since 9/11, where over 3,000 people died. This time; a man drove a vehicle onto a bike path into crowds of citizens.

Only a small while after, an attempted major terror attack, also referred to as the first and only attempted suicide bombing attempt in US history by the ISIS terror group. A suspect wore multiple pipe bombs on himself when he marched into a busy Bus Terminal 'Port Authority' in NYC. One of the explosives partly detonated earlier than expected, severely injuring the suspect as well as 4 other citizens nearby.
