A devastating day in Colorado as families will ring in the new year and welcome 2018 without their loved ones. A gunman opens fire on at least two citizens inside of an apartment building in a Denver suburb. Officials said that deputies had been called to the scene, but were not treating the incident as a hostage situation.
It was unclear how, but the gunman did manage to get inside of an apartment within the building. The deputies responding to the disturbance call were fired upon in an ambush-style attack on the local forces. At least 5 of them were shot, one fatally.
According to a recent press briefing held by local police departments, the attack on officers was seen and being investigated as an 'ambush-style' attack on their deputies, but have yet to announce any found motive for the gunman.
As of right now, the gunman has yet to be identified to our sources.
The attack on police officer deputies in Colorado takes place on New Year's Eve as major global cities boosted, boasted their increased security forces to prevent any threat of a terror attack.
