President Putin, the Russian leader, has just recently called out an explosion at a St Petersburg supermarket - located at a crowded mall - a 'terror attack' targeting helpless Russian civilians during natural daily life.
According to our sources, it's yet to be confirmed who's behind the act of apparent terrorism and what their political motives may be. Of course, due to recent events that have occurred throughout Russia, it's almost an inevitable ending to find ISIS behind the explosion that rocked this civilian area.
Police have told our sources that an updated count of 11 citizens were injured in the explosion. The bomb was home-made, and consisted of 200 grams of TNT (7 ounces) and was exploded in the customer bags' section of the supermarket.
Nearby stores and buildings as well as St Petersburg's city center went on immediate lock down following the bombing. According to other news reporters; there was no panic, but nobody felt safe anymore. They felt inclined to avoid entering nearby stores that remained opened; including a drug mart, clothing shop.
Police rushed to the scene and stated that the heavy police presence had been because of fear recently imposed due to recent terror-related events.
Months ago in 2017, a terror attack in St Petersburg targeted a metro station. The explosion claimed sixteen civilian lives, and injured upwards of 50 others nearby. The Islamic State (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the terror attack.
Only days before Christmas this year; officials confirmed that Russian intelligence agencies in partnership with America's CIA foiled an apparent massive terror plot on the city of St Petersburg. It apparently targeted a Kazan Cathedral in the city as well as majorly crowded nearby areas. Seven people had been arrested, and the CIA's aid played a role in Pres. Putin's call of Trump to thank him for their intel.
