America's intelligence agencies have confirmed they foiled a terror plot scheduled to devastate the city of San Francisco on Christmas day. One of California's biggest cities remain at risk now, as police fear there can be other 'easily radicalized' citizens.
Aaron Jameson, only 26 years old, is being charged with trying to commit an act of terror. This as FBI uncovered his plots to severely terrorize San Francisco on Christmas. The former-US marine is denying allegations, even after an undercover FBI agent - of which gathered the information - claims he has provided evidence.
The undercover FBI official posed as an ISIS member who would help the suspect conduct the attack, in order to reveal whether or not the citizen-at-risk was of any concern to the US government. He is among many recently discovered Americans that are easily radicalized and very on-edge Americans willing to commit terror.
Jameson told the FBI agent that Pier 39 would be a good target for his plotted terror attack due to the fact that it's very trafficked and always full of citizens. He was also the one who came up with the idea to attack on Christmas day, a Christian holiday.
The San Francisco mayor said that there 'was no further threat to the citizens', though security had been recently beefed across the city following the breaking news revelations of the terror plot. After incidents like these, it's common and natural for major politicians to urge citizens to continue living their lives normally, out of fear.
The Christmas terror plot comes after an ISIS-inspired attack killed 16 people, including the two perpetrators, at a holiday party in 2015. It also comes after a 2016 attack on a Christmas market in Berlin, Germany that killed 12 citizens. This year's 2017 Christmas schedule was attacked in a pre-Christmas NYC attack that injured 5 people, including the terror suspect.
According to official reports, Jameson, the terror suspect, also mentioned to the FBI officials that one of the motivations for the attack seemed to be in coordination with Trump's recent decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital city. This had also encouraged the pre-Christmas NYC attack that hurt 5, and a U.N. condemnation resolution voted overwhelmingly 128-9 in favor of condemning the US government.
An analysis by the Mount Royal Times shows the five most likely-to-be-terrorized countries in Western life this Christmas season by ISIS are; the United States, France, Italy/Vatican, the United Kingdom and Canada.
