Hartsfield-Jackson Intl, also known as one of the world's busiest airport, has just recently gone dark following an enormous power outage. The airport apparently services upwards of 270,000 travelers and passengers at any given day. Officials are currently investigating the issue.
The FAA, known as the Federal Aviation Association, has just announced they are grounding all flights in and out of Georgia's Hartsfield-Jackson Intl airport following the power outage in order to be sure the incident is overcome. Thousands of passengers have said to be in the airport as the power remains off.
The local power company 'Georgia Power' has reported they are at the scene of the airport and are working to restore power, all the meanwhile trying to find out the source of the currently-declared suspicious power outage.
A witness to the incident said it seemed like any other power outage, but is quite devastated by the intense delay of her flight. Nearby airports, said to be preparing to take in the hundreds of daily flights now re-routed from Hartsfield-Jackson, expressed their concern with the intense traffic.
In fact, many have gone as far as saying the power outage is 'crippling, slaying travel times' across not only America, but around the world - specifically Europe - as a large number of flights are forced to be either cancelled, re-scheduled or flown elsewhere than Atlanta's airport.
