Kushner may have lied to investigators about campaign contacts with WikiLeaks

The U.S. President's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, once again under extreme heat by investigators after they confirmed that he may have lied, or simply forgot, that he had other Russian documents and had known of connections between WikiLeaks and the Trump campaign.

He had forwarded an email from Don Jr, the President's son, to the campaign official regarding contacts between the campaign and WikiLeaks. This comes as Don Jr was also under heat for not disclosing he had contacted the Russian-lead leaking group between 2016 and up to 2017, during the 2016 campaign and inauguration day.

Throughout Trump's campaign, WikiLeaks had been a prime source of Trump's attacks and opposing side to Hillary Clinton, raising the question on if the contacts with WikiLeaks had helped them get some of the information. Trump had called, numerous times, for WikiLeaks to hack the DNC (again) and release more Clinton information.

Don Jr had set up a meeting with a Russian government lawyer official after she offered dirt on Hillary Clinton back in June of 2016. Although the meeting did not reveal any new informations, the action of organizing the meeting changed the entire headlines revolving around Mueller's investigation.

Kushner testified that he did not know anybody within the campaign who had any contact with WikiLeaks or any other leaking groups, and he had also said Russian collusion had not taken place by any means.

Although collusion is still hard to fully prove, it's no shocker if it comes very soon. With George Papadopolous, within Trump's campaign, having worn a wire for months after being indicted, charged and found guilty by Mueller's grand jury. On the other hand, Kushner seems to have lied to them during his testimony when he testified that he did not recall of any contact with leaking groups and organizations.

But it is a possibility that Jared simply had not recalled, he is arguing that he didn't remember the email that he had forwarded proving that there was in fact contact, at least between Don Jr and the group.
