Two of the deadliest shootings in the US have taken place within 36 days

Two of the top five deadliest mass shootings in American history have taken place within thirty-six days of each other. Both of which broke records in the US; the Las Vegas massacre crowned the deadliest in US history having killed 58, and the Sutherland Springs church shooting is the deadliest in a place of worship in America.

And both times; gun control was the most common headline with the days following the enormous tragedies. After the Vegas massacre; the main question risen primarily by leftists were asking why 'bump stocks', devices used to make semi-automatic assault rifles mimic fully-automatic ones, were still legal.

After the church massacre in Sutherland Springs; questions rose on why the gunman was legally able to obtain at least four guns within four years leading up to the shooting after being kicked from the US air force for violent offenses, being arrested for abuse of his child and ex-wife, and escaping a court-ordered mental facility.

The Texan governor told CNN reporters that the question is also going through their heads, however confirmed Texas refused his license to carry weapons.

So how did he obtain guns legally? Though most Republicans and Trump supporters have denied all news that came following the Texan governor's announcement that the state refused him a license; the truth is, he did officially legally buy those weapons.

The main reason is lack of gun control in gun shops. Gun control meaning further background checks on people like the suspect in the Texas church incident, of which in this case would've resulted in full denial to legally give him weapons.

Although this does not mean he wouldn't have gotten the weapons he had obtained; it does mean that the government wouldn't be able to be held responsible for it. But the controversy against gun control rises by Republicans who say that if gun control measures are taken; only law-abiding citizens would be restricted from owning weapons seeing as criminals would most likely find a way to buy it anyways.
