Our review of the iPhone 10, is it worth the large price tag?
The iPhone X, or the iPhone 10 is Apple's 10 year anniversary edition of the iPhone of which first came out this time a year in 2007. And one of the key differences has been, not only the technological advancements, but the lift in price tags on these devices.
The iPhone X is priced at a staggering record breaking iPhone cost of $999 USD, or around $1319 CAD on Apple's website. It is definitely the most expensive iPhone produced by Apple so far. So, why is it priced so high?
First of all, we'd like to remind you not to be turned off by Apple's suddenly pricey phones as the iPhone 8 is a relatively cheaper option and is also a brand new phone. Both are accompanied with wireless charging.
One of the key differences between the regular iPhone lineup thus far and the iPhone X is the face recognition technology of which has fully replaced touch-ID. Using highly advanced technologies a much more reliable, safer and quicker alternative to touch-ID was announced by Apple this year only on the 10th anniversary phone edition.
Sorry kids, this means the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus unfortunately do not ship with the extremely quick, sharp and safe face-ID technologies.
Another difference is the fact that the iPhone X's OLED display and screen in the front of the phone almost fully expands the entire width of the front-facing angle of the device from top to bottom and in each corners excluding the slight notch at the top for the front-facing camera and face-ID technology sensors.
These are only among some of the many differences and reasons behind Apple's high pricing of this new iPhone. One of our reporters did manage to obtain the device for this review, and said he does think that it is worth the money.
The iPhones range, however, from different prices. If you don't want this quite pricey piece of metal then don't worry - there's always the slightly cheaper version of this year's September-November releases: the iPhone 8.
